For Loom Width
40 cm (16")

Quick and simple to attach, this additional front roller gives you the freedom to weave longer lengths of fabric and the freedom to weave with thick weft yarns, all the while keeping the optimum sheds. Now you can weave double width projects with ease, weave rag or rya knot rugs longer and thicker, weave with super yarns, and weave multiple projects without cutting and re-leashing the warp.

Kit includes Freedom Roller with clicker pawl, warp stick and warp stick ties.

When using your Freedom Roller, there is no need to cut off the wrapstick on your original roller. Simply turn the original roller so the warpstick and ties are down, out of the way of your warp going on the freedom roller.

Leave the knobs on your loom and you can quickly switch between using the loom with or without the Fredom Roller.

The Freedom roller cannot be used with the Rigid Heddle Stand, it is designed to use on a table top. Natural timber finish.

Compatible with:
Rigid Heddle Loom 40cm (16″)
Rigid Heddle Loom 60cm (24″)
Rigid Heddle Loom 80cm (32″)
Rigid Heddle Loom 120 cm (48″)
Please note, freedom roller cannot be used with the loom stand. It is designed to sit on a table edge.

More About Ashford Wheels & Looms

In 1934 Walter Ashford founded Ashford Handicrafts Ltd, a company that has become a world leader in the manufacture of quality spinning wheels, weaving looms and textile equipment.

Today we, together with our loyal team, have produced over 800,000 wheels and looms.

We use only the finest native New Zealand Silver Beech hardwood, sourced from sustainably-managed forests with Forest Stewardship Council approval.

Our wheels, looms and carders are the result of more than 80 years’ experience, customer feedback, research and development. Available in natural wood or finished with eco-friendly water-based lacquer. They are designed to be simple, easy to assemble and finish and fun to use.

At our woollen mill in Milton, New Zealand, we source and process high quality fleeces and fibres.

Experience the joy and pleasure of creating your own unique yarns, fabric, garments and homeware using our wheels, carders, looms, fibres and yarns. Relax knowing your crafts are sustainable, renewable and environmentally-friendly.

We invite you to join our family of textile artists around the world.
